(www.nwasoft.com) has signed strategic agreements with four Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) providers: ChemWare, LabWare, RTS Enabling Technology and Thermo LabSystems. The agreements allow the LIMS vendors to sell NWA Quality Analyst software as an add-on module or integrate the software in their own LIMS for data analysis and reporting.

With these and other LIMS agreements in place, NWA Quality Analyst is now being added on or integrated by nearly all LIMS vendors worldwide, making it the de facto standard in the LIMS marketplace.

"LIMS vendors have acknowledged there is no competitive advantage in developing their own statistical modules when they can offer NWA Quality Analyst. Some are even modifying it to create competitive advantage in niche markets with custom applications," says NWA Vice President Jeffery Cawley. "They get the benefit of our expertise in statistical methods and can focus resources on their core product."

According to Cawley, MES and SCADA solution providers are taking the same route, often at the request of their clients. "A large number of systems vendors have come to us because their clients are requesting them to include NWA Quality Analyst," he says. "It's a great solution for everyone. Clients get the statistical capabilities they need and providers of manufacturing data solutions can offer a statistical module without expending resources to develop one from scratch."
