In keeping with StarLIMS mission to provide functionally rich components that allow each customer to control their own unique laboratory and business rules, the StarLIMS SPC module will allow users to create their own on-line Quality Analyst SPC analysis using a set of configurable functions. The user may choose the type of process capability and control charting they would like to see, as well as the variables requiring analysis. Quality Analyst calculated variables, such as control limits or cpk, will be saved in the StarLIMS database for future off-line analysis by either Quality Analyst or StarLIMS. This feedback will also allow the StarLIMS Console to provide personalized content delivery based on the user's business rules such as "Alert Lab Manager when Process is Out of Control". This module continues the L.I.M.S. tradition of assuming the role of technology enabler, providing new benefits to their more than 500 labs who may require flexible, on-line, statistical analysis.
